Infectious Disease Outbreak Overwhelms War-torn Sudan’s Kharthoum Hospitals

Ongoing war and the near-total collapse of its health system have led to a catastrophic health crisis in Sudan, overwhelming hospitals in Khartoum with infectious disease outbreaks.


With more than half of the health facilities in the capital destroyed and critical infrastructure for sanitation and water supply severely damaged, diseases like cholera, malaria, and dengue fever are spreading rapidly.
