Britain Grants Special Licence To Two Subsdiaries of U.S Sanctionned Russian Oil Company

Britain has issued a special licence allowing businesses to continue working with two Bulgarian subsidiaries of sanctioned Russian oil firm Lukoil. This move coincides with the Bulgarian government taking control of the assets to avert a potential fuel supply crisis.

The general licence, issued by the UK's Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) on Friday, November 14, 2025, permits companies and banks to continue transactions with the two specific Bulgarian entities: Lukoil Bulgaria EOOD and Lukoil Neftochim Burgas AD.
